After years of working with the client(Southside Church in Clayton, NC), they asked me to return to create a similar package created in past years for their youth group’s(Three18) summer camp, “The Engage Conference”. This project felt extra special for several reasons. After years of building a relationship with Southside Church, the relationship created an opportunity to not only design the overall brand concept and creative direction of the camp; but to also have a say so in the theme/topic, as well as being directly involved with the camps inner workings(from planning, execution, and even teaching several sessions within the camp/conference). 

The topic for the 2024 Engage Conference was “HE IS” and focused on the person, and identity of Jesus Christ. This inspiration came from the verse Hebrews 1:3, which talks about Jesus Christ being the exact imprint and radiance of the glory of God the father. The design consisted of a new color palette for the first time outside of the youth groups normal choice colors. Special care went into the choice of the camp shirt for this year, with the goal of giving the kids something that they would want to wear for years to come and not just at camp and several months after. The image on the left shows what would be on the back of the large oversized, ‘Comfort Colors’-pocket tee. The image on the right shows what would be present on the front left pocket of the T-Shirt. The colors represented are exact to the final product.

Just like years past, this event also required a full “branding kit” that lead to the creation of a session book given to all of the campers, stickers, and various “promotional items/merch” given to the campers throughout the camp as give-aways.
